In short: most timetable settings are saved only in your browser. Information is sent to our server and Morph AI only when you choose to use the AI timetable feature. Please do not enter sensitive personal information.
1. Who we are
TimeTableGenerator is an independently owned and maintained web tool created and operated by Esakkiappan. It helps users create, edit, and export school timetables. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the owner and operator of TimeTableGenerator.
For privacy questions, email samugaydass@gmail.com.
2. Information we handle
Information you enter into the tool
You may enter class names, academic years, working days, period times, subject names, teacher names, timetable preferences, and AI instructions. You choose what to enter. Avoid including confidential records, student data, health information, passwords, financial details, or other sensitive personal information.
Information stored on your device
The site uses browser local storage to remember your timetable configuration, generated schedule, display theme, selected AI model, and custom AI system prompt. Local storage is not the same as a cookie. This information normally remains on your device and is not automatically uploaded to us.
AI feature information
When you use the “Generate with AI” feature, your prompt and relevant timetable details are sent through our server-side proxy to Morph AI for processing. This can include the class, schedule, subject, and teacher information entered in the tool. Do not use the AI feature with information you are not authorized to share.
Technical and security information
Our hosting provider may automatically process standard server information such as IP address, browser type, device type, request date and time, referring page, and requested URL. The AI endpoint also uses a one-way hash derived from the requesting IP address in server temporary storage to enforce request limits and prevent abuse. Request timestamps older than the 60-second rate-limit window are ignored; temporary files are retained according to the hosting environment’s cleanup practices.
Information you send us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information included in your message. If you contact us through GitHub, GitHub processes your account information according to its own policies.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the timetable generator.
- To process AI timetable requests that you initiate.
- To remember your settings on your device.
- To maintain security, limit abuse, diagnose errors, and protect the service.
- To respond to questions, feedback, or support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies, local storage, and advertising
TimeTableGenerator currently uses local storage for essential preferences and saved tool data. You can remove this data through your browser’s site-data or storage settings. Clearing it may reset your saved timetable and preferences.
We may use Google AdSense or another advertising service to display ads. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google and its partners may also use web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services in Google’s partner-sites policy. Where required by law, we will request consent before using non-essential advertising cookies.
5. Third-party services
We rely on third parties to operate parts of the service. These providers may process information under their own privacy terms:
- Morph AI: processes prompts and timetable context when you request AI generation.
- Web hosting and security providers: deliver the website, keep server logs, and help protect the service.
- Google AdSense and advertising partners: may process device and browsing information if ads are enabled.
- GitHub: hosts the owner’s public development profile and may process data when you follow our GitHub link.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their privacy practices, so review their policies before providing information.
6. Data retention and security
Timetable data stored in local storage remains until you clear it, replace it, or your browser removes it. Email correspondence may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain records, or meet legal obligations. Hosting logs and provider-processed data are retained according to the relevant provider’s operational and legal requirements.
We use reasonable safeguards, including a server-side API proxy, same-origin checks, request size limits, rate limiting, and HTTPS when available. No online service or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Clear locally stored tool data using your browser settings.
- Do not use the AI feature if you do not want timetable details sent for AI processing.
- Adjust cookie and advertising preferences in your browser or Google Ads Settings.
- Contact us to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your request.
8. Children’s privacy
The tool is intended for general educational planning and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. Children should use the site only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher, or school. Do not enter identifiable student information into the tool or AI prompts.
9. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Privacy laws in those countries may differ. By using third-party features such as AI generation, information may be transferred to and processed where the relevant provider operates, subject to applicable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, providers, advertising practices, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will show when revisions were made. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site where appropriate.
